Since moving into their home, there were ideas and thoughts on how to make it work more for them. Space was the main objective. Space to increase their kitchen size to move and allow multiple people to gather or cook. To have that area as a hub for the home. Where activities in it were enjoyable and not cramped. A space where everyone had a place to contribute, laugh, cook, bake, sit and be as a family.
Then there was the thought of designing and providing a space to show the view of the beautiful outdoors. To showcase the one of the reasons they love the home so much. To let the outer beauty naturally step in a comfortable way.
So, the project began. The kitchen and the hallway were on the scope. As we know, any remodel can feel like a mountain. Through the process with Beyond Kitchens and the team, the remodel ran smoothly, without much interruption. A dream experience for the spaces of their dreams. The primary goals for each area: bright and open. From the after photos, you can feel all of that just by viewing the images!
On top of all of that, the family had a surprise of their own. They were getting a completely new addition along with their new space. There were expecting their first child! The cherry on top to the timing of the project completion.
Beyond Kitchens favorite moment:
“We were on the front end of the news that they were expecting their first child. What a joy.”
Hunter Tile
An open-concept kitchen was requested by the client. This required removing a hall of closets and a wall between a music room and the original kitchen. The windows needed to remain in place due to a brick exterior. The existing hardwood floors were patched.
A large multi-purpose working and entertaining island was created. The focal point when you enter the kitchen is the cooking center with the custom hood and cement tile backsplash which was centered between two existing windows.
