Hello, I’m Katie, the owner of Beyond Kitchens. I began working here back in 2007 when I joined as the Project Coordinator and Designer. Over the years, I’ve embraced opportunities for growth and learning. So, when the chance to purchase the business arose in the fall of 2022, I knew I had to take it! I’m truly passionate about what I do and cherish the relationships I’ve built along the way.

I have a degree in Interior Design along with my contractor’s license. I believe that possessing both provides me with a unique blend of skills and knowledge. Your home should be where you escape to, a place that brings you joy and puts a smile on your face. I love that we get to play a part in creating that for our clients.

I am in the era of being the chauffeur to my two kids in all their various activities! While it can be exhausting at times, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I love escaping in a good book, surrounding myself with friends and family, a good crime podcast, and gardening.

As Rochester’s only Certified Master Kitchen and Bath Designer (CMKBD) through the National Kitchen and Bath Association, my goal is to guide clients through the design process in a way that will put them at ease in knowing I will take care of all the nitty-gritty details and their project will be everything they’ve dreamt of. In my eyes, a successful design is one that effortlessly functions and is a reflection of you.

I am a go getter with a constant drive to improve and implement new processes and organization. Since beginning my career in 2015 after receiving my degree in Interior Design, I’ve been lucky enough to have my work published in Regional and National Magazines, been a part of NKBA’s Thirty Under 30 Class of 2018, and named as a Kitchen and Bath Design News 2024 Innovator.

My three young kiddos keep my husband and I busy and smiling. I am a lover of outdoor activities and spending every moment I can with family. My hobby is anything that involves design, whether that be for my own home or work – I guess you could say I love what I do!

Hi, I’m Kate — the Project Coordinator and Designer. With a degree in Interior Architecture from UW Stevens Point and a passion for creating beautiful, well-organized spaces, I strive to make the design process seamless, efficient, and enjoyable. From initial concept to final install day, I work closely with our designers, trades, and clients to bring each project to life.

My role involves scheduling subcontractors, maintaining organization on-site, and stepping in to draft or design when time allows. I ensure that every detail, deadline, and decision align with the project goals so clients can feel confident knowing someone is there to keep things running smoothly and thoughtfully.

When I’m not on site or at the studio, you’ll find me enjoying the outdoors, spending time with family, reading, or throwing clay on my pottery wheel.

I’m Grace, the Studio Manager here at Beyond Kitchens. I joined the team shortly after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Stout, where I earned a double major in Interior Design and Real Estate Property Management. My interest in design began early on, sparked by the many hours I spent watching renovation and design shows with my mom growing up. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the design process and have found joy in helping others create spaces they’re proud to call home. Full circle moment!

In my role, I help keep the studio side of things running smoothly while supporting the design team throughout each project. I often assist with client communication, scheduling, and various parts of the design process. One of the most rewarding parts of my job is getting to watch each project come together from start to finish.

Outside of work, I always find ways to keep myself busy. Whether that’s spending time with friends and family, going to concerts, cooking/baking, being outdoors, or gardening. Overall, I love learning new things, picking up new hobbies, and most of all, spending time with the people I care about.
